Peavine Restoration Efforts in Progress

You may have been noticing some heavy equipment and big rocks appearing on Peavine lately.  It is part of the USFS Carson Road Rehabilitation Project.  The project consists of rehabilitating specific roads and to make them inaccessible to motorized travel.  It includes establishing road closures using rock barriers, minimizing the effects of surface run-off in disturbed areas, and [...]

Spring has Sprung – Updated!

Here’s are some updates, new events and new trail information. 
-We will be doing some light trail work on the Halo trail the next few Wednesday evenings in preparation of the Halo Celebration on May 13.    
-For the Great Community Clean Up on May 8 we will meeting at the Raleigh Heights Trail Head.

Halo Trail Progress

The last two miles of the Halo trail are almost complete.  Come join us this weekend to help do some finish work and seeding.  Meeting at Hoge Road Trail Head, Sunday November 29 @ 9:00 am.  Bring your bike for a test ride after.

“Shooting Gallery” Clean-Up

KTMB / Peavine Cleanup 2009

The National Guard’s Chinook picks a 4-Runner of the Halo Trail during the 4th annual Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Clean-Up. I think they picked close to a dozen cars off Peavine this year.
