The Nevada Conservation Corps is returning the beginning of April to work on the next 3 miles of the Halo Trail. We will be scheduling a couple weekend work days to help finish and buff out the trail.

<p>Peavine-Keystone Volunteer Trail Day partners include Washoe County&#8217;s Department of Regional Parks and Open Space, the U.S. Forest Service and Poedunks Mountain Biking Group. The day&#8217;s work includes raking and seeding the new trail, installing a bench, and rehabbing trail scars. No experience is necessary.</p>
<p>Bring your bike and after the trail work (probably around 1 pm or so) and we&#8217;ll take a test ride over to and on the first mile of recently constructed Halo Trail.</p>

Work has started on the Halo Trail, and when completed will add
6.5 miles of new, high quality single track and create a number of

<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: left">WHEN: <span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Saturdays November 1,8 &amp; 15</strong></span> &#8211; 9:00 am to 1:00 pm</p>
<p>WHERE: Meet at the <span style="color: #000000;"><strong>West Keystone Canyon TH at 9 am</strong></span> (just past the round-a-bout at the end of Leadership Parkway, which can be accessed from the end of Keystone Avenue and North McCarran Blvd, or Victory Land off North McCarran Blvd.)</p>
<p>WHAT: new trail construction of a new non-motorized hiking/mountain biking trail on Peavine Mountain.</p>
<p>WHO: The Poedunks, and group formed to enhance and expand Peavine trails will provide tools and instruction provided.</p>
<p>We are working under a Sponsored Volunteer Agreement with the USFS and due need to work to their standards and specifications, including these requirements for trail work:</p>
<p><strong>YOU MUST PROVIDE</strong>:<br />
-Sign in/Sign out signature<br />
-Long pants<br />
-Long shirt<br />
-Fully enclosed shoes or boots (high top work or hiking boots recommended)<br />
-water<br />
-sunscreen</p>
<p><strong>WE WILL PROVIDE</strong>:<br />
-tools<br />
-hard hats<br />
-instruction / know how<br />
-and if needed: gloves, safety goggles, first aid kits</p>
<p>Sorry &#8211; no volunteers under 16 years of age may participate. Ages 16-18 may with an adult consent form and signature.</p>
